Newborn Pictures!!

Yeah, yeah, I know, he's FOUR month's old, I'm pathetic, I admit it. These pictures were taken when Benjamin was one week old! SO cute! The Zoo!!

My friend Jenny and I took our sons (Noah and Benjamin) to the zoo for the first time ever! It was so much fun! Well, to be honest, Jenny and I thought it was so much fun... Noah did look at the animals... kind of... But Benjamin just slept in his stroller the entire time! That's okay though, like I said, Jenny and I had fun! ;-) But somehow we BOTH forgot our cameras! Really, what kind of mothers are we anyway? Luckily my phone is able to take pictures. Not the best pictures you've ever seen, but that's life. It's better than nothing! We at least have some photographic record of their first trip to the zoo!

Yea for cousin friends!

I am so excited that Benjamin has cousins that he'll be able to play with! And not just his own cousins, but my cousin's children. (I'm with you Kellie, what does that make them? Second cousins? Removed? Who knows...)

Everybody loves tummy time!

My cousin Cosme's daughter Ruby. She and her sister Eva love to hold Benjamin, and they are absolutely adorable!!

Benjamin with cousin Jack, they have the same carseat! And the same crib, and the same clothes... their parents have the same camcorder, and the same playstation... there is actually quite a list!

Cousin Owen visiting from Las Vegas, Benjamin, and cousin Jack! They are all within one month of each other, and look a little bit like they aren't sure what's going on...

The History of the Heider Family

In order to officially get this blog started I wanted to very briefly introduce you to our family! This is baby Jonathan:



(Isn't he cute?! I'm a sucker for dimples and little boys in overalls!)

And in order to be fair, here are some pictures of me as a baby as well:

(I actually have vivid memories of these flannel pajamas, and even bought Benjamin a pair of red flannel footsie pajamas because they reminded me of the ones my brothers and I wore!)

Jonathan and I actually met in middle school, and after becoming friends and dating for years, we were married in 2005:

Soon after we were married, Lady Puppy became the first new addition to our family, she is both a complete sweetheart and quite a stinker:

After a few years of marriage, we found out we had another addition on his way! I don't know what it is about this picture...but I swear I look huge!!

Baby Benjamin! I love that you can "hear" this picture!

Welcome to the world buddy!

And that is where we are today! A happy family of three-and-a-half! (We count Lady as a half!) Okay, I know none of that should be news to anyone actually reading this, so I'll try to keep future posts more interesting, so stay tuned!
